We are in a moment in history where entrepreneurs have disproportionate influence on everything from the social problems we work on to what we consume, practice, believe, and desire. As Jack Dorsey, founder of Twitter and Square, recently declared on the cover of Forbes, "The most efficient means to spread an idea today is corporate structure." Moreover, according to the Kauffman Foundation, 54% of millennials have started an organization or have the desire to start one. Given all of this, we believe the future of our world depends largely on the ventures the next generation creates.
Praxis is a creative engine for redemptive entrepreneurship, supporting founders, funders, and innovators motivated by their faith to renew culture and love their neighbors. Our community of practice operates through high-touch programs, robust content, and a global portfolio of redemptive business & nonprofit ventures.
Through business and nonprofit Accelerators, we work with founders in the growth stage; through our Venture Lab, with founders in the imaginative stage. Praxis Academy convenes next-generation entrepreneurs for our Annual Academy week, with a dozen founders moving on to our Emerging Founders intensive. We gather our active community of founders, mentors, investors, and thinkers for the Redemptive Imagination Summit, and invite everyone into redemptive entrepreneurship through the Praxis Course, the Praxis Journal, and our Rule of Life .
Each year, our Praxis Fellows are selected from a rigorous, highly competitive application process. We accept organization that are in pre-scale, high-growth mode, have a product or service already in the market, are aimed at tackling a major problem through an innovative approach, and have a focus on measurable impact. Since our launch in 2011, we've had the opportunity to support 150+ nonprofits and businesses through our accelerators, working across multiple sectors around the world.
Over the course of our Nonprofit Accelerator program, Praxis Fellows get intimate conversation and one-on-one's with over 30 mentors. Our 2019 Nonprofit Accelerator program mentors were selected as leaders who have deep expertise and are at the top of their fields.
